Charming and welcoming with a back to nature feel – the Narima Bungalow Resort

The Narima Bungalow Resort is just perfect. Situated on its own secluded beach between the villages of Kantiang Bay and Klong Nin, Narima Bungalow Resort truly is a little slice of paradise.

Narima Bungalow Resort is owned and run by the friendliest Thai couple we’ve ever come across. They are Dr Yodchai and Dr Nopawan Jotiban and they’ve made it their mission in life to welcome each guest as though they were welcoming you into their private home. Nothing is too much trouble for them or their staff to ensure your stay is the very best it can be.

The resort is designed to have a back-to-nature-feel with the bungalows literally melting into the surrounding rain forest. When designing the layout of the resort, one of the main concerns was to preserve as many of the original trees and plants as possible. They built the bungalows around existing trees and only felled when absolutely necessary. All the buildings have been constructed from natural, ecological materials that blend well into their surroundings. It is hard to spot the resort from the sea as it seems to disappear into the natural backdrop.

The Narima Bungalow Resort is also designed with the view in mind. All the rooms, restaurant, beach bar and aquamarine infinity pool look out towards the sea and the spectacular diving islands of Ko Haa. Enjoy a sunset walk on the beach, lean on the edge of the infinity pool or a drink at the beach bar whilst soaking up the glorious display in front of you.

The resort is able to organise day trips such as elephant trekking, visiting the village of Old Town on the other side of the island and overnight camping trips to Ko Rok. They are also home to Narima Diving, a dedicated on-site dive centre which is part of the PADI 5 star Dive Resort, Scubafish based in nearby Kantiang Bay. Enjoy a family day out diving or snorkeling in the crystal clear waters of Ko Haa with this first class diving company on their large, comfortable boat. Narima Diving / Scubafish can provide a snorkel guide who will point out the different fish and keep your children safe in the water. For younger children and babies they also offer on board babysitting so you can enjoy your dive in the knowledge that your baby is in good hands.

[editor’s review:]
PLUS – The resort is very family friendly with the staff more than delighted to play with and watch over small children. Many guests choose Narima Bungalow Resort for their family holiday and return again and again each year. The private nature of the beach and the great pool mean the children can play all day while you get on with the more serious business of relaxing. Many couples also enjoy their vacation at Narima Bungalow Resort and also happily return year after year – for the friendly welcome, wonderful food and the gorgeous natural environment.

MINUS – Because the Narima Bungalow Resort is situated between the two villages of Klong Nin and Kantiang Bay, you will need to take either a tuk-tuk taxi or hire a moped if you wish to visit different restaurants, try a different beach or do some shopping. The moped ride is literally 7 minutes in either direction – and along the beautiful coast road – so its not far but neither are additional facilities right on your doorstep.
