Bamboo Bay Resort is a slightly quirky, wild and rustic resort, which rambles up the hillside overlooking Ao Mai Pai (Bamboo Bay), in the deep south of the island. The bungalows are joined by a labyrinth of pathways and steps that meander through the untamed jungle.
The 21 bungalows vary in size to sleep 2 to 6 people and although each bungalow is built a little differently to conform to the hillside, all have hot-water showers and a private terrace that faces out over the, somewhat rocky, beach below.
Sammy’s Residence is a group of five large concrete bungalows, tucked away at the top of a small hill just a few minutes walk from the beach in Kantiang Bay.
Each of the warm peach or welcoming bright orange bungalows is furnished with a fridge, 4-poster bed complete with mosquito net, coffee table and chairs, wardrobe and a private, tiled balcony with partial views of the bay. They also have en-suite bathrooms with cold-water shower and sink.
Simply Life Bungalows is a small, family-run guesthouse with super-cheap bamboo and concrete bungalows for rent in the heart of Kantiang Bay village.
Simply Life is situated across the road from the beach. From their central location they offer three types of bungalow – several concrete, large bamboo rooms and five smaller, very simple bamboo huts. All rooms are fan-only with mosquito nets hanging from the rafters and have basic en-suite bathrooms with cold water shower.
